Annie M’s Cafe

Delightful cafe in a delightful little town. Service was very good and friendly. Food was simple and delicious. Best turkey and ham club we've ever had. It had bacon AND real ham and roasted turkey on it. The cafe offers daily specials as well. The chicken noodle casserole daily special was rich and full of flavor. Saw there was a great steak special for Tuesday nights as well. Excellent prices overall! Worth a short trip down Hwy 49 to visit for a good, filling meal!

Was delighted to dine there for over a week. Good food Good people great service. I think that their smoked chicken is better than Little Willie's. My boss loved the fried pork chops. I'd your in Flora check them out,they don't disappoint.

I really wanted to enjoy my visit to Annie M’s Café because I’d heard good things about the food and was looking forward to supporting a local business. Unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant from the moment I arrived. When I pulled into the parking lot, I immediately noticed a car with a parking cone stuck underneath it — not exactly the first impression you hope for. Still, I went inside trying to keep an open mind. The food itself was okay — nothing terrible, but nothing special either. The real problem was what happened while I was eating. From the dining area, I could clearly hear someone yelling and cursing loudly in the back of the restaurant. It sounded like chaos, and it made the entire atmosphere extremely uncomfortable. This is a cute store front diner with a down home country atmosphere. The place was almost packed and you seat yourself. Didn't take long for them to take your order. Ordered the ribs, okra and potato salad. The ribs were cold and a little tough but the seasoning was good. Wasn't the taste I expected from the potato salad, more of a mayonnaise ranch flavor added to scalloped potatoes. I couldn't finish the little bowl they brought out because, well, it just wasn't potato salad. The fried okra was great. A little on the lukewarm side but still good. Could hear someone in the kitchen saying 'take the fish out of the microwave " so someone got nuked fish rather than fresh. I love eating at Annie M’s restaurant and when I do I always order the Fried Catfish. I decided to try something different so I ordered the Blackened Catfish. I definitely wasn’t disappointed. You definitely have to know how to prepare Blackened Catfish and the cook did an amazing job on preparing it. If you know anything about Blackened food you should know it’s usually spicy🌶😋. This was my second time ordering the Blackened Catfish and this time I had to take a picture. I will definitely recommend this restaurant and dish to anyone who’s looking for some GOOD old soul food.
