Angel of Jim Thorpe

My boyfriend and I spent the weekend in Jim Thorpe and stayed at The Angel, and we truly couldn’t have had a better experience. Carrie, our host, went above and beyond for us even before we arrived, especially given some challenges we had with another property. We stayed in both the Dream Room and the Angel Room, and each was absolutely lovely. The beds were so comfortable and the little touches in each room made us feel at home. We especially enjoyed the bath in the Angel Room which was equipped with candles, bath bombs and salts. Carrie prepared a delicious breakfast each morning, along with snacks available throughout the day and desserts in the evening. Everything about our stay felt welcoming and intentional. The room is lovely, the bed super comfortable, the food excellent, and Carrie is such a gracious host and so accommodating. We highly recommend The Angel and definitely plan to return. The inn itself is about a mile out of the city center, but that was a good thing. Downtown Jim Thorpe can be a bit crowded and noisy on the weekends.

Great location!!! Just a quick ride over the bridge and your in town. The room was very comfortable and extremely quiet. Carrie is beyond wonderful. You really feel like your visiting family except your left alone to do your own thing. The breakfast is out of this world. I definitely found my place to stay when I visit Jim Thorpe.

My fiance and I stayed during a weekend trip to Jim Thorpe, had a wonderful time! The host is lovely and very friendly to us during our stay! Our room was well furnished with a mini fridge, tv and tea/coffee to drink! The bathroom was clean and had complimentary toiletries, with two bathing robes. Downstairs there is a seated area with card games and an outside seated area that has a fire pit going. Lovely! The breakfast was a perfect quick bite before heading out to go explore the town which was only a hop & skip away by car. Easy check in and out process, then left to our own devices to enjoy our time, would certainly come again!

Excellent, beautiful, quiet, PEACEFUL, BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED rooms, Carrie (the owner) is such an amazing host, she keeps the rooms, house, yard, exceptionally maintenanced. She is an excellent cook and made us a delicious breakfast. She was welcoming, kind, and made our weekend stay, feel like home away from home. You cannot find this kind of service, atmosphere, and peace anywhere anymore. I would highly recommend using Angel of Jim Thorpe to everyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
