Ambateno Bakery

We just happened to be in the area so we stopped in. Thank god we did. We had the chicken empanada, ham and Swiss croissant and a guava and cheese. All were Soo good. The dough was amazing. We were Soo happy ty. I also tried apple soda for the first time . Delicious

Had the chicken empanadas once it was really good, but then got sent the wrong one another order, the potato one which I don’t like. Also the apple pie is a complete rip off. Picture attached with no filling. The cakes aren’t bad Edit: decided to give them another try, the empanada did not come with sauce this time, very disappointing and they made the meal for sure. Again… no filling in my apple pie, I thought maybe it was a bad batch, nope… very disappointed

Fantastic little bakery. Best cheese bread I’ve ever had. Pastries were terrific. Very nice staff. Morrocho was good.

In Torrington, I've found myself reminiscing about the bustling bakeries that dotted the streets of my old neighborhood in NYC. The aroma of freshly baked bread wafting through the air, whether it's early in the morning or as you're winding down your day, is a detail I sorely missed. However, Ambateno Bakery has managed to bring that cherished memory back to life. In my quest for the perfect chocolate bread, I scoured various local bakeries only to come up short. Dunkin Donuts, Market 32, the Big Y and The Donut Station, while they have their charms, couldn't satisfy this particular craving. Thankfully, Ambateno Bakery came to the rescue. Wow! First time and I would say the flavor of the chicken in the empanadas was AMAZING. Me and my spouse enjoyed it. The pastries, cake and sweets all looked amazing, and I’m so looking forward to come back. Also let me mention very clean and maintained store.
