I visited AM Breakfast House 🏠 Sunday 2/15/26 at 9am. It smelled good inside. There was no wait when I arrived at 9am. I was promptly seated and my drink order was taken. I ordered a coke ($2.50). My Waitress provided great service. She took my order shortly after my drink order. Build your own omelet no cheese 🧀($12.99 + $1.59/ each add on) bell peppers, mushrooms, avocados $17.76 total. Big servings here enough for two people. My partner enjoyed my leftovers. All of my food came out warm. The insides of the omelet could use more seasoning. Side Eggy bread w/blueberries ($5.99) They put custard on the eggy bread I had to send it back as I'm lactose intolerant. It wasn't the best breakfast I've had, but it's better than fast food at truck stops. My service was really great but a man cam

We are driving from Texas to Colorado, this is a new route for us and first time coming through Lamar. I am so glad I found this place to go and have breakfast. Service was great, everyone is friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and really enjoyed their home made chorizo. Would recommend and would definitely come back if I am passing by.

An absolutely wonderful restaurant. Wonderful family atmosphere run by an wonderful family. All there food is fresh and handmade including the sausage. As you can see I had the biscuits and sausage gravey platter, I ate the eggs and took half of the rest home. The biscuits were huge, light, and fluffy. Spoke with one of the owners and he said his wife makes everything fresh from scratch wish all fresh ingredients and you can taste the love.. He also said one of the signature dishes is Chicken fried steak, they hand pound the steak, bread it and fry it and it is as big as the plate. If you are traveling in a camper or a big rig you can park either on the side street or on the street behind the restaurant. The long rig parking is in the second to the last photo. Fantastic food and friendly service! We’ll definitely stop by again when we’re in the area. My husband loved the chicken fried chicken, and the Mexican BLT was excellent — though be warned, the jalapeño packs some real heat! The owner knows many of the regulars, which gives the place a warm, welcoming, homey feel. Highly recommended.
