Alvin Ord's Sandwich Shop - James Island

My boys and I were looking for a quick bite that would not disappoint. We found it here. The sandwiches were hot, fresh and piled high with meats. Service was counter service but friendly. The only thing that I would have loved a little more were more bread options. But then, I love alllll the gluten. Lol. We had 2 Philly's, one BBQ and one club. The potato salad was delicious as well. Definitely worth a try. They also have some vegetarian options available. Next time, I'm definitely trying the avocado sandwich.

As I continue to preach to everyone I know, Alvin Ord’s makes the best sandwiches in Charleston. I crave them constantly. The bread is incredible and doesn’t get soggy at all, so it’s also an elite beach sandwich experience if you’re on the way to Folly. Everyone who works there is lovely, as well. Truly can’t say enough good things about this place!

Great sandwich shop to grab a quick lunch. The "Reuben Alvin's Way" is a delicious take on the classic Reuben. The spicy brown mustard works incredibly well. Not much seating inside, but we didn't have trouble finding a seat. Highly recommend.
