The rating is based mainly on the two "vegetable" dishes we had. Just for clarification, there are two sides to the menu: "vegetables" and "meat/fish". The difference between the "meat" dishes and the "vegetable" dishes is day and night. "Delicata Squash" - atrocious taste and texture. Taste - I roast sweet potatoes for my dog, and my sweet potatoes are 20 times sweeter and tastier. Texture - gritty (how was that possible to achive?). "Artichoke Tempura" - worse taste and texture. Artichokes clearly came from a can. Peculiar sourish taste to them and moist texture from pickling liquid. Foie gras and tartar dishes were great. Cocktails were great. Service I liked. The waitress was...I would say a real pro. But, the first dishes came 5 min after we ordered. I mean - really?! - we were

Tucked inside the Arlo hotel is bustling bar and restaurant catering to a focused menu of veggies and proteins crafted with flavorful touches and creative accents. The rum coconut cocktail was yummy if a bit light on the rum. The tempura artichoke hearts were dazzling and quite pleasing - a great sharing plate. The chimichurri steak was cooked and cut for easy eating. Midtown prices. The hostess and server were super friendly and memorable and their affectionate vibes really made the entire meal brighten. Solid staff. The bar was really going the entire I was there, and the general vibe was midtown professional with a touch of tourist. It took me a minute to find the host stand. You have to walk in a vaguely marked door and sort of head back, or walk in the Arlo entrance, cut down the

Fantastic dishes and very tasty food. An amazing and over friendly staff, I can’t recall the last time I observed the check coat staff literally courteously help you put on your coat upon exiting. Waitress was just lovely and exuded her happiness to serve us.

Guys, the food here is OMG amaaaazing! I went with zero expectations, but it turned my dinner into a feast. I literally asked, “Who is the chef here?” I won’t even describe everything I ate, but whatever you order, you’ll fall in love. This is New York!!let’s appreciate the value of this place. Wow! And I also want to thank our waiter, Shane he knows the menu perfectly and everything he recommended was on point. Chef’s recommendation!!you won’t regret it!

I had a fabulous solo dinner. Staff was super attentive and made great recommendations. The server Dina was so personable and the manager Justine came by to make sure everything was going well several times. The food was spectacular but the pumpkin bread was so special. Definitely will be back again!!!
