This market with a little restaurant at the front is a real find. My medium-spicy Pad See Ew was jammed with wonderful fresh vegetables and flavorful greens. Service was really fast- I think they stir-fried up my order in less than 3 minutes. The spicy sauce was great but you could still taste the chicken, citrus, and vegetables. Of course they had Cheerwine. A daily special was Duck Larb (contains innards). Hopefully I can get it on my next visit. Today I literally chickened out… Big clean restroom available- stylish even. I took away a small tray of delicious Lao beef jerky.
A hidden gem. If you are looking for a great spot for a quick and affordable meal. Pho is flavorful and clearly made with care. A big bonus is an asian grocery next store when you can grab roasted sunflower seeds and other snacks while you are waiting on the food. Perfect stop if you want good food without spending much.
Got their chicken with sticky rice. Chicken is spoiled. Already has fly eggs. Will report it to Health department. Look at the photo provided.
The food was good and authentic. The pork larb was good; fresh herbs with assorted spicy pork bits, onions, long beans and more... It was a nice accent when eaten with a bite of sticky rice. I recommend you ask for it spicy. The fresh spring roll was truly fresh and made to order. The dipping sauce was sweet, brown and good. The spring rolls (2 per order) were mistakenly left out of the bag but this was quickly remedied before leaving. The papaya salad with long bean and peanuts was also good. Many people might not like the fish sauce/shrimp paste flavors. The pork rinds that came with it were crispy and awesome. The long bean and peanut add in portions were acceptable but more would have been better. The market is small but has many sauces and seasonings along with some fresh veg
I can’t express how much I love this place. I always forget to take pictures as I am too excited to eat. The Bánh mì’s are always great but my favorite is Khao piak (Lao chicken noodle soup) I would eat here everyday if I could. The Larb is a must try and definitely walk around the market and grab some snacks/drinks to take home!
