Almost Home Bed and Breakfast

Stayed here last night, very clean and the bed was comfortable. The hosts are very accommodating. We will be back in the future!!

The owners are friendly and the room was nice, spacious, affordable, and quiet. The bed was comfortable and I slept great. Plus, it's a total bonus having a complete kitchen while traveling.

On my cross-country road trip, I stayed in the Roadrunner Room for one night on the way there and one night on the way back. Both nights were the best sleep I had on my entire trip! The property is quiet, while still close to home. It feels incredibly safe, both physically on the property and during COVID precautions. It’s also so comfy that “almost home” is such a perfect name for the place. My little kitchen had everything I needed, and I had a little dining area and living room. All sparkling clean, of course. I could live here and want for nothing! But most importantly, the owners are the kindest people you’ll ever meet! They catered to my vegan needs for breakfast and took care of me like I was family. Lovely place, beautifully decorated, on the very edge of Portales. Quiet snd peaceful. Wonderful, gracious host. Beautiful full kitchen with full sized fridge and full size stove with oven. Couldn’t be better! Very clean. We will never stay anywhere else in Portales!

No complaints whatsoever! These people were great. Way better than a hotel. You dont have to eat the breakfast but I highly recommend it. If you're like myself and enjoy meeting new people and experiencing their story, its definitely worth the experience. I set an alarm for their home cooked breakfast and had a great convo on 2 hours of sleep then went back to sleep before starting my day. They weren't pushy on what getting me out right away and the space was clean and nice. Most importantly THEY DIDN'T DISCRIMINATE! Prior to my stay I called at 1am and have dreads and was treated with respect THE ENTIRE short stay! Strongly recommend.
