Ok,Don’t even know how to started… I’m so excited about this place; super familiar with the touch of sympathy and kindness. Food is absolutely delicious 🤤,every plate brings the flavor of the soul of this place . Highly recommended ,price so affordable. Wine;if you’re wine lover like we’re . I personally recommend the wine of the house. Good taste ,it’s just on its point. We’ll definitely go back, amazing experience.

alcala_nyc delivers a true taste of Spain with soulful tapas, comforting plates, and a wine list that feels deeply personal (yes, the chef even makes his own wine 🍷). Every dish reflects Chef Jesús’ Galician heritage — thoughtful, heartfelt, and full of flavor. The space feels warm and inviting, like being welcomed into a family meal rather than just another dinner reservation. From the bold garlic shrimp and perfectly cooked paella to tender grilled tuna and baby squid, every bite is worth savoring.

The best Spanish restaurant in New York! Delicious authentic food, great wine selection, and very friendly staff. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience.

The ambience of the place does not evoke any reference to Spain except for the red mantle and colored tile ornaments in the wall. The service was ok but the food was not as great. Only the shrimp on oil was ok even then it was small. The paella negro did not have the crust at the bottom we were expecting and the pork marinate was very salty.

Wonderful place. Really good food and owner / staff was very accommodating. Super reasonable price for New York.
