The pricing and execution don’t match the charm. $51 for a Caesar salad. Yes, really. We ordered one (1) salad to share between my wife and I…. When the check arrived, we learned they charge based on the number of people at the table (4 in our case). That’s the type of detail the waitress should tell you upfront. The salad itself? Romaine and dressing. No croutons, no parmesan, and no anchovies despite ordering and paying for a side of them. The owner did offer to rectify it with a partial credit of $20 but I’m still not sure how all their math works when the Cesar salad is listed at $10.95…. Oh well. My husband and I discovered Alberto’s Ristorante in Cave Creek, it feels like stepping into old-world Italy. The atmosphere is quaint, charming, and refreshingly old school—more like a small village trattoria than a modern restaurant. We were told that each meal is made completely from scratch by a single chef, and that care shows in every bite. Dinner here isn’t rushed; it takes time, but in the best way. My boyfriend and I went in to Alberto’s for dinner a week ago and did have an awful experience. We sat down and started on som bread and just about then overheard the cook was not in. Well he and I split the salmon and each had a glass of wine. I did figure salmon would be pretty hard to mess up. Boy was I wrong!The entree was served in a puddle of balsamic vinegar . Tasting as awful as it sounds. Thankfully my boyfriend is a chef and was able to damn the balsamic away from the salmon and found olive oil to put on top of the fish, bringing back some of the taste that had been lost. The meal was incredibly expensive and no accommodation was given for the fact they had no cook on staff. Oh my God!!! Want to take a trip to Italy without the plane ride? Go to Alberto's!!! The ambience is like being in Italy. The food was incredible and Alberto was there to make sure that everything is Perfecto! And it was! From the caprese salad to the meatballs, shrimp cocktail and the housemade ravioli!!!! To finish the dinner a wonderful cappacinno and tiramisu!! It was magic! Bravo Alberto! We will be back! Prices are great and I am definitely going to be back! My husband and I loved it all! Cozy and romantic. Great for our date night!

Upscale yet comfortable like a warm Italian home. Alberto picked us the perfect red wine. Best Caesar salad I’ve ever had. Incredible lobster ravioli and amazing tiramisu. A very special place!
