We enjoyed the omakase dinner at Akame restaurant. The restaurant is ultra small, just 6 seats during each seating so there plenty of opportunities to chat with chef and watch him create our dinner. I enjoyed creative combinations of flavors and textures. I loved all the fish offering, however my favorite turned out to be the four gras served on crispy rice crispies topped with yuzu jam and chocolate. Heavenly! The restaurant is hidden away in an alley off Mass ave. We parked right in front of it, but did not see it, because the only sign is a black writing on the door which we could not see due to reflections. For reference, it is next to Fruitee Yogurt, which has bright signage.

Akame is a six seat omikase restaurant tucked away on a side street of Lexington. The only sign is on the door so it's easy to miss. It's next to the frutopia froyo shop. It's a one man show, the chef/owner does everything himself. He's a very engaging guy and with only six people at a counter it's a nice social experience. We enjoyed our experience.

An absolute gem nestled in the heart of Lexington, MA with a unique experience. A non-traditional take on sushi while adhering to the core of what makes a sushi, sushi. Every bite was a journey with interesting combination of toppings that compliment the fish beautifully. A very intimate experience with one chef and six seats where you get to dive deep into conversation with the chef about his journey. He delivers high quality food at a very good flow while maintaining good conversation with the guests. What I really appreciated about the chef is that he plays the energy off of the guests seated at the table instead of trying to force conversation with the guests.

My husband and I just had dinner here for our anniversary. The omikase was a fusion of asian and non-asian ingredients that paired very well together. The chef did an excellent job making sure each dish had a balance of delicious flavors and textures. Many of the combinations worked surprisingly well and makes me want to experiment with some of those same flavors at home. My husband did the sake pairing with the meal and really enjoyed each of the recommended sake. Also, the desserts were fantastic, especially the taiyaki with black sesame whipped cream. I would recommend visiting this place at least once. It was a satisfying and pleasant experience. The chef did an amazing job.

Hands down THE MOST creative omakase I've ever been to. The chef literally takes imported fresh, authentic fish from Japan and pushes the boundaries with them in unthinkable yet genius ways. Every piece he delivers is a masterpiece. He brilliantly hits different ratios of sweet/savory and intentionally incorporates variety in texture in literally everything he serves up. This man can COOK. I would like to add that I have never been a fan of uni, but the chef changed my mind on that real quick. That's crazy. It was actually one of my favorite pieces from the whole set. I would also like to add that one of the courses was a plate of multiple slices of perfectly cooked, geniusly assembled wagyu. That blew my mind. It was the best form of wagyu I've ever had, and I was so glad we got a smal
