Aggie Inn, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Not striking to look at from the outside but our cabin-style room was nicely appointed and very comfortable. We appreciated the spacious sitting room and bedroom with modern furnishings. The bed and pillows were very comfortable while the outside desk, chair, and couch were clean and functional. Our cabin room also had an outside deck area with a table and chairs that overlooked the neighboring cabins. We found the air conditioning/fan to be okay but not great. The bathroom fan was not working but there was a window that opened to allow air circulation. The hotel is very conveniently located right next to UC Davis and close to the Mondavi Center. We had a pleasant visit and would definitely stay at the Aggie Inn again.

Our lodging and location were perfect. It was the incidentals that brought our rating down. Here's why: 1) the Sat morning desk clerk was not up to par with the facilities. He was polite when spoken to, but not welcoming like the other clerks. His appearance was also a bit "shambled" in that his white collared shirt was very wrinkled and not crisp-- clearly pulled out of the hamper. When asked about the bicycle check-out policy, he was very vague and was not interested in helping us out. The afternoon clerk ( a woman) was far more helpful and pleasant, and she gladly assisted us with bicycle check out. 2) the bike I checked out was very good, except it had no brakes :-). Nice little hotel close to campus. They do not serve breakfast, but they do have some cookies a coffee bar and a Keurig in your room.||Property a little on the older side, but well maintained overall good experience for us and would return

The location can't be beat. The rooms that face B Street get a lot of street noise You should ask for the other side. Amenities are basic. Bed is comfortable. I've stayed here multiple times now. The staff is friendly. The rooms are clean and very functional.

Right on campus. Walk to the farmers market on Wednesday and Saturday. SB coffee all day. Clean modern rooms. Comfy bed.
