Adamo's Italian Restaurant

Who knew there was an authentic Italian restaurant in Mitchell, SD. The fresh pasta was delicious, flavorful sauce, and the chicken was nice and moist. The arancini was also delicious. Our server was attentive and checked in frequently.

Found this place by accident just walking around downtown Mitchell. Wonderful atmosphere. Our waitress was exceeding helpful. she gave us some recommendations which for the most part were pretty darn good. The appetizer wasn't my favorite, but was great to try new things.

Surprise! This restaurant upon online review seemed to serve the basic Italian menu, dressed up a little. But we were hunting in the area, and it was my birthday, so we went. Surprise! The menu was more extensive than listed online, and featured unexpected combinations and new flavors. Presented nicely and uniquely. Found out the restaurant is relatively new, so I'm guessing the chef is still experimenting. I had the squash appetizer and walleye (my favorite) entree. Tiramasu was uniquely presented. Pictures do not represent the entire serving, as I started to eat them before I remembered to take a pic.

Newest classy restaurant to establish itself in Mitchell. Its definitely a couple of steps up in food quality and overall presentation. Greeted promptly at our reservation time, and seated at a cozy table. Would have liked the linens that were on other tables as that's something that stands out in comparison to other restaurants. We ordered the shrimp scampi, ossobucco, and carbonara. Shrim were jumbo sized and appeared to be cooked properly. Pasta was served at al denté or just very slightly above firmness. The ossobucco and risotto was very flavorful and robust. Have only had ossobucco as a pork shark before and this was much more flavorful. The carbonara was my favorite of the dishes, but could have been plated better imo. I did eat all the carbonara and half leftovers of the ossobucco.

We ordered quite a few dishes and all of them were amazing! Our favorite was the Alfredo Pasta but a close second was the Gnocchi. The carbona was so good as well. Everything was seasoned so well, including their salads. We loved the Tiramisu dessert. Our server was friendly and helpful. I’m so glad for this addition to Mitchell. 🔥
