ACOCA Cafe and Roastery

The food and coffee were both excellent, especially the Nordic Waffle Sandwich, and the service was amazing. Very attentive and friendly. The space itself brings me right back to my college days of wanting a cozy, artsy space to inspire my inner-artist.

Good food. Selection was good. Somewhat long wait for food so don’t be in a rush- I’d say good half hour..daughter said waffles were meh, I had Brussels they were good. Little on the pricey side but all in all a good vibe.

In Appleton for a conference. Asked the Appleton Visitor Center for a good place for breakfast and they suggested Acoca. Turned out to be an excellent choice. The place has a nice coffee shop/cafe feel to it. It's spacious, well lit, and has plenty of options for seating. Got a friendly greeting and help with ordering. Ended up deciding on one of the Brussel Sprout Bowls, and the Lox/Egg Croissant. After putting the order in, including drinks, we got a number and waited at the table. The drinks came out in short order, and then the food a little after that. Everything was hot, well seasoned and good portions (I have never had that much Lox on a sandwich!). Food was fantastic. Breakfast burrito was more like a panini but in a good way, with good potatoes on the side. Veggie quiche was also very good, really loved the crust. Coffee (cortados) was fairly good; just not top tier if you are a “coffee snob.” Would recommend!

I met the owner, Bill, at another restaurant and came by to check them out. What a great spot! They have an exceptional selection of coffee from around the world and the food is delicious. I got a breakfast sandwich on a croissant with Kenyan coffee to drink. I will definitely be coming back next time I’m in town. Thanks Bill and the entire ACOCA staff!
