9th Street Cafe

Great homemade food, excellent service. The chicken fried steak wasn't a previous frozen salt pad. They use FRESH food here. Biscuits were soft and huge. Very well priced and big portions!

I came by to try this place since some coworkers and other community members hype this place up, but overall I thought it was okay. For reference, I moved to the highland area a couple months ago and wanted to try out new restaurants. One key thing to note is that this place is cash only, and they conveniently have an ATM inside. Regardless, prices are reasonable. As I was enjoying my meal, I saw 2 others walk in and sit at a round table (seating 5), but were firmly asked to move to another table, presumably if others came in; keep in mind when this happened the restaurant wasn't too packed (approx. 8am), therefore there were other spots the bigger parties could sit at. I wouldn't include this in my review if there wasn't another duo who sat at the same table without being asked to mov

The Friday fish special was absolutely delicious. My husband had a hamburger and it was also delicious. The service was quick and friendly. The local historical information throughout the cafe was informative and quaint. Had a great lunch experience here and will definitely be back!

Incredible Sandwiches, Baked goods and a fun place to take a trip down Memory lane. Love the Yearbooks. This is a must have when visiting Highland!!
