Taiwanese food is always a good choice however I feel like New York City doesn’t quite embrace how amazing the food is this place is cute. Small and quaint. Staff is super friendly and overall we had a good time. Food – the food here is all good. The portions were nice and overall we had a good meal. My friend was the one who recommended this place because he mentioned the sandwich here is supposed to be one of the best in the city and I love fried chicken sandwiches. Overall, we have the fried rice where we added sausage the fried chicken sandwich, an extra order of french fries with the Taiwan dust and everything was good My biggest complaint is that the sandwich is so big and honestly a little too messy for me. They put pickles on the bottom, which makes everything slide off and not

If you're in need of a taiwanese food fix, this would be a great spot to scratch that itch. The crispy silken tofu was amazing, with that cumin lime and chili oil vinaigrette- awesome appetizer to get started with. The scallion pancake beef wrap came with a very generous portion of that tender and flavorful beef shank, and was well balanced with the onions and pickled vegetables. Both the dry beef noodle and the beef noodle soup had bouncy noodles that really soaked up all the flavor. Only complaint would be that the soup is quite salty, but at least still had all the right spices and flavors. Overall, 886 seems to be a trendy, boisterous place to get some solid taiwanese flavors, and to hang out and grab drinks with friends.

We came to this restaurant on a very cold New Year’s Day for lunch. We made a reservation for two a few hours before on Open Table. When we came to the restaurant there were several people but there appeared to be availability for walk-ins. While there was one server for the restaurant, she was very polite and attentive. The space is very casual but clean. Despite it being very cold outside, the restaurant was a comfortable temperature. The restaurant is also small but doesn’t feel cramped. I haven’t had a lot of Taiwanese cuisine but I enjoyed this meal. I thought the Taiwanese sausage was incredible. The portions were also decent size. I would go back and I would recommend.

been wanting to make the trip to ny and here for YEARS and we finally did. did not disappoint. we’re gonna be sad whenever we have other popcorn chicken and beef noodle soup bc it won’t be this good. super friendly wait staff and fantastic food, cannot wait to go back. we got: honey glazed popcorn chicken, red yeast ribs, beef noodle soup and dry beef noodles. also the mango spritz mocktail which was so damn good and refreshing, get that in a carafe.

Allow me to share my thoughts on the dining experience. The beef noodle soup presented a delightful flavor profile, which was quite enjoyable. However, the texture of the noodles themselves was somewhat disappointing, as it did not quite match the overall quality. On the other hand, the popcorn chicken was absolutely outstanding, exceeding all expectations. Its crispy exterior and tender interior made for a truly memorable bite. It elevated the overall experience, adding a touch of perfection. In summary, the restaurant provided a mix of positive and less favorable aspects. With a few tweaks, the dishes could become extraordinary.
