6th Street Filling Station

Sixth Street Filling Station was pretty good! It wasn’t the best breakfast place I’d visited, but I enjoyed it. The best part was the settling: surrounded by big windows looking out over a busy street, with all sorts of car and driving and garage decorations all around, it earns the name “filling station.” I had a special which I can’t now recall the exact name, but it was some kind of hot honey chicken breakfast burrito. It was OK — not the best — but I’d happily try other things on the menu!

I went here two times in my short time in Wausau. First time it was darling and service was impeccable. $10.50 for a big platter of eggs Benedict is great! The food and coffee are delicious. The second time I went it was a bigger group, but it wasn’t too busy. We had to wait 40+ minutes for our food, while we saw the waitress serve people who had arrived after us. Food was great at least.

Great place to gather and enjoy casual relaxing meal w friends and family. Start with a few Cinnamon roles as appetizers. The specials are always tasty, or the standard menu continues to have great options like the Reuben or several breakfast options.

My brother and I occasionally come here for a bite and we really dig the burgers here. They're probably the tastiest I've had in Wausau. It's good food. From what I remember, the bathrooms are riddled with plaques and posters with humorous quotes on them. That's a plus for atmosphere. I don't know why I wrote this. I guess it was funny enough to let others know. The only two times my brother and I came here, this place was busy. That's how you know people like this place.

Excellent flavors. Large portion. Was waited on by at least 3 servers! Coffee always full.
