Customer Reviews
I have not tasted the bagels yet, but this feels like a ripoff. $12 for 3 *tiny* bagels that are kind of hard. Even if they have incredible flavor, this is a steep price. Look how small they are!
Basically, the bagels are stocked in the locker. It's not a brick-n-mortar joint. You order and they give you a locker code to pickup the bagels. So the concept is sound. HOWEVER, I live in NYC. Utopia bagel is local to my neighborhood so my standards are high. But these bagels are basically bread. If you like paying $12 for three thick pieces of bread, knock yourself out.
I drive from Tucson to 29Palms for these bagels. I get them at the 29Palms Farmers Market. They are 100% worth the drive. Seriously some of the best bagels I have had outside of NYC. Check out their website for locations where you can buy them. Next time I am in town, I plan to order ahead so I can make sure they have the ones I want. The newest addition of Rosemary Poppyseed is probably a new favorite.
Bought at local farmers market. The lady was super friendly and helpful, and the bagels are the best we've ever tasted. I used to be a firm believer in the supremacy of Montreal bagels, but if this shop calls theirs NY bagel, then I must say NY beats Montreal!
I bought 29 Loaves bagels at an art market booth. I had a sample and purchased 2 for $10. The bagels i got in my bag were HARD ROCKS nothing like the fresh samples. She also said they would be easy to split by hand and that was inaccurate. The everything seasoning was incredibly salty. Do not buy these!
