Joshua Tree Saloon

Stopped in here after going to the park and it was pretty crowded. Took a while to get a seat and service was slow but the food was good. They had live music outside which was nice. The bathroom situation is an interesting one, there’s a men’s bathroom but not a woman’s bathroom. Instead, it was a gender-less bathroom? There was long line of ladies trying to use the restroom. Not sure why both weren’t just gender-less in that case. All in all though, was a cool place.

Excellent happy hour specials! My wife and I stopped in for lunch today and took advantage of the happy hour specials - we both got the carne asada and tater tot tacos, and they were absolutely awesome. The combination was creative and delicious, and I highly recommend trying them. We paired our tacos with Miner's Milk and fresh margaritas, which were the perfect complement to the meal. Great food, great drinks, and great value during happy hour. Definitely worth a visit!

A fun eclectic stop after a morning hike with good food. Ordered the hatch chili burger with fries. Next time I will do the sweet potato fries for sure. Everything was tasty. They tend to get super busy there, not a long wait to be seated. Free parking out back, clean restrooms. Lots or outdoor seating for when they have live bands. There is also a pool table off to the side inside.

Every time I head up into the high desert, stopping at the Joshua Tree Saloon is non-negotiable. From the moment you walk in the door you get that relaxed desert-town vibe mixed with reliably good food and drinks. I love that I can pull up outside the park at 61835 29 Palms Hwy and know I’m going to get something solid. The burger list alone is worth the stop — their half-pound patties with names like the Ghost Pepper Burger (bacon, ghost pepper cheese, chili verde sauce) and the Saloon Original Patty Melt (Swiss cheese, grilled onions, Russian dressing on sourdough) are the kind of indulgences you’ve earned after hiking or driving all day. The Joshua Tree Saloon is a rustic and unique jewel in the heart of Joshua Tree. Our server Nicole was excellent, very attentive but not annoyingly hovering. Good selection of local brews and broad selection of liquor choices. The carne asada tacos were delicious and I would highly recommend them. I will definitely eat here again. There are both indoor and outdoor seating options. Stopping in at JT Saloon for food and a cold drink is a must for anyone just passing through or for those visiting the park.
