1833 Umpleby House Bed & Breakfast Inn

Looking for a weekend getaway with the Fiance. Came across this place. The pictures looked pretty. Made the arrangements. Carl and his staff were OUTSTANDING! Friendly welcoming and very accomodating . The room we had was wonderful. It was clean and comfortabel. Looking for a weekend getaway, I highly recommend Carl and his location! We will be back!

Clean and gracious accommodations with friendly innkeepers and well appointed room. Loved the gardens and private grounds with many places to sit and relax. Great in-town location was walking distance to everything in both Lambertville and New Hope.

Yesterday, I called to book a room for 2 nights over the Thanksgiving holiday (Wednesday & Thursday). I was told by the innkeeper that it shouldn't be a problem to bring my 9 month son (at the time of visit). We were quoted $305. Today, I called back to book the room and had the unfortunate experience in speaking with the owner. The owner stated that it's there's a holiday fee and there's a $20/night "kid fee," both of which I was not informed of yesterday-bringing the price up $100 more. The owner came off as pompous and decided that my son was at a "teething age" and would be disruptive. Not his call. Their website also states that they are "kid friendly." My wife called in to discuss the discrepancy in price and the discrimination because we are bringing a child. The innkeeper stat

Wonderful and delightful stay. If you like Victorian style houses, and some history then this is the place for you. We got lucky last minute and needed a place to stay and the owners hooked us up. Good food, clean and safe.

PS can not forget about Carl’s home made almond liquor! WOW!
