Porches on the Towpath

My husband and I just returned from 2 marvelous overnights at “Porches on the Towpath.” Lisa is a wonderful host. She cooks the most delectable breakfasts. This morning we had poached pears, old fashioned oatmeal with various toppings, eggs with goat cheese and herbs, and blueberry/ blackberry pancakes with warm natural maple syrup. This “ foodie “ was very happy!! We have stayed there several times. Every room is well appointed with everything you could possibly need. The attention to detail regarding decor is evident in every room within the house. The garden area outside is lovely when it’s a bit warmer. I highly recommend staying at “ Porches on the Towpath” if you plan on visiting the Bucks County area of Pennsylvania.

Very glad we had planned to stay over night, as town was packed & parking hard to find. We arrived early from PHILLY, and were able to leave our car in their lot prior to the 3pm check in. |Our room (#1) was located in the main building, right off the dining room. Bedroom, hallway and decent sized bathroom. Couldn't locate the TV, it was right behind the picture hung in the bedroom. No fridge. Able to keep some stuff in the " community" kitchen fridge. Cold water and ice cubes also in that fridge. Unsure if those staying in other buildings have a similar set up or do they have to walk over??|Our room also had a cozy outdoor patio with 2 chairs, off the bedroom (separate door to go there). There's a gate off the backyard about 15 feet from the patio which connects to the Towpath along the

This is a Very romantic comfortable spot that is in walking distance to a lot of the central New Hope area. The individual rooms are all unique and filled with antiques. Furniture, light fixtures lamps and fireplaces are all antique. Both Porches and New Hope do a great job of decorating for the holidays. My Wife really appreciated the large soaking tub and spacious bathroom in unit 12.

We were in town for a wedding this past weekend and had the absolute pleasure of staying at Porches! The hospitality and charm of this bed and breakfast is top notch! Every single staff member had a friendly and welcoming presence that made it feel more like walking into a relatives home - along with a delicious home cooked meal with fresh ingredients every morning and a good cup of coffee to go with it - With just a quick walk to town and a quiet place along the canal to hang out and rest by a fire it is really a no brainer to stay here! We’ve stayed at a number of places in New Hope and will 100% be returning! Thank you again to everyone on the staff for accommodating us and making us feel at home

We just had a delightful visit to Porches on the Tow Path. It was so good to be in the heart of downtown New Hope. The hotel has a darling well cared for small garden where one could sit quietly. The b and b is steps from the pretty tow path for taking a walk. Breakfast was delicious and served by the thoughtful staff. The owner was present and very gracious . We had everything that we needed and the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable ans the room and bathroom were nicely appointed. Our room had a lofted area with a bed in a nook surrounded by bookshelves and this room also has a small sitting area. Our teenage daughter was delighted to have her own charming room to stay in set part from the main bedroom. Would go back and would recommend!
