Zaxby's Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings

My husband and I ate here for lunch. The restaurant was not very busy at the time. We ordered our food and received it fairly quickly. The food was hot and delicious, but as we went to the lobby to find a table, there were not very many that were clean. While we were eating, the manager went outside to have a smoke while the other employees behind the counter were talking and laughing! After we finished eating, my husband went to tell the manager about the dirty lobby but the employees told him that the manager wasn't available. So, he just told them about the dirty lobby. As we were leaving the restaurant, we saw the manager in the back corner of the parking lot. Not sure what she was doing, but not managing the restaurant or her employees Also, the drain for the drink dispenser was full

I visited Zaxby's today for dinner and ordered the chicken sandwich meal. The fries were good, but I couldn't help but notice that the box was only half full, which was a bit disappointing. The most disappointing part of my meal was the fact that I purchased a second chicken sandwich to enjoy tomorrow. Unfortunately, it was the first time I’ve tasted a stale chicken sandwich that still seemed somewhat warm. It was not only stale but also dry, which made it a waste of money. (Both sandwiches) While the staff were friendly, it seemed like they didn’t put much effort into preparing my food, which was surprising given my high expectations for consistency from Zaxby's—I've never been let down before. We visited Zaxbys on Friday evening for the first time ever, seeing that we are from South Africa 🇿🇦 and now reside in Madison. The wait was not worth the product's received. To start off, the lady who took our order couldn't focus enough to get the spelling of my husband's name right, who has an English name. He had to repeat it 6 times. It appears that the service at Zaxby is mostly focused on the drive-through section as we had to wait for almost an hour for our order. The quality of the food we received was not worth the wait. The food was tasteless and squished, and the fully loaded fries were supposedly very tasteful and juicy. The fries hardly had any sauce on them, and they were very dry. Definitely not recommend dining here any day of the week.

This isn’t the first time—or even the second. It’s the third time we’ve had issues with our order from Zaxby’s. We ordered two chicken finger plates dipped in Wimpy sauce—neither of them were. What we got was dry, flavorless chicken that was honestly inedible. To make it worse, we received just two tiny cups of Wimpy sauce to “make up” for the mistake on two large plates. No Zax Sauce. No Ranch. Nothing else that was supposed to come with the meal. It doesn’t seem to matter whether we order through DoorDash, drive-thru, or in-store—the result is the same: wrong, incomplete, disappointing. At this point, I’m done. No ice in the front of house or drive thru, no drinks but zero, charged for a wimpy sauce, and all workers had attitudes. Vary bad experience all the way around. Asked for wimpy sauce and was handed hot sauce, and instead of the Zac sauce on my nibblers I ask for ranch (would like to know where it is?!!) We will not be back anytime soon.
