Passing through this small city, I googled soul food near me, I went to benny Paul 1st, they were closed on a Thursday, although online indicated open, I googled again and found this gem, I was immediately disappointed because they were better than any soul food spot in Atlanta at this price point, the fried chicken was excellent, mac n cheese was different but scrumptious, collards was top tier, I will definitely return, and recommend to my friends in Oxford Ga, since it’s only a 30 min trip for them. Thanks for the great cleaning atmosphere to boot. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This is place is Southern cookin' all the way! It's a meat & two with sides that are perfectly seasoned. The fried chicken has just the right amount of crispy coating and the pork chops are tasty, too. Save room for Grandma's homemade Red Velvet cake. Oh, and the staff are beyond friendly and helpful. Be sure to leave them a little something to show your appreciation.

You don't want to miss out on some of the best southern cookin' you'll ever have! It's a little out of the way of the major roads, but I love the nice drive to this family owned restaurant. When you walk in, it feels like home. We had fried chicken and smothered pork chops with sides of Mac n cheese, cabbage, and cornbread. Imma let you know that the pork chops and chicken were cooked to PERFECTION and the Mac n cheese was so flavorful and just melted in my mouth! Their sweet tea was amazing as well! Come out and support this local, family owned business!

They remove all of their bad reviews on FB. Don't trust the online menu. Went on a day I was looking for a specific thing, it was not offered that day 1-29-26. What I did have, Lima beans and greens, was ok. It just sucks when you go out of the way because it's on the menu that day and they don't have it. And there is no time to go anywhere else. So you're automatically disappointed in what you do have to get.

Love the people and the chocolate cake...when it's hot, the food is solid. Fried chicken and cabbage!
