Zao Asian Cafe

First time trying Zao and it was amazing! We compared it to an Asian Chipotle. So good, everything was really fresh and they even allowed a sample of their new chicken for us to try. It was very reasonably priced and tasted just as good as it looked.

Stopped here on the drive up to Northern Utah, and was pleasantly surprised. All the ingredients were fresh, and you could taste it. Service was also fast & friendly. Got a chicken bowl, and the portion was more filling than I expected. Would come back if ever in the area.

This location needs to urgently address food prep hygiene & clean the drink & especially clean the water dispenser. Got very sick here twice after eating here. Never happens at the Riverdale location. Will never eat at this location again.

UPDATE JULY 21ST, 2025 Came back to munch here again today. This time there was no line to the counter to place an order. Quick service, crispy vegetables, hot chicken, cool sauce. They made me a very flavorful bowl! Very much appreciated. Stop in and enjoy a bite! Treat yourself to a healthy crispy robust meal for a decent price. Fresh, healthy crispy vegetables and a new cuisine that I've never tried. I was very impressed with the "stand in line to order" time. The line of diners was to the entry door, yet, it took only 6-7 minutes to reach the counter and walk to my table with my food. Clean environment and a relaxing laid-back atmosphere. Certainly will be returning for another bowl of their veggies.
