Zao Asian Cafe

Our family loves this place! The bowls and tacos are our favorites, but I’ve also tried their salad and it was also tasty. The chicken and pork are super tasty protein options, and their variety of sauces including the yellow and green curries are very good. They also have some great specialty drink options along with the standard soft drink fare.

zao is an amazing asian fusion chain is the salt lake metro area. it's fast casual and really, really good. i always have fast and friendly service at this location.

First time and definitely not the last! We enjoyed the bowl with Mongolian beef and, it was delicious. It was the perfect choice for lunch🤤 Also I LOVED their juice options (try the mango one). Thanks Rosy for the helped and great service you gave us, we enjoyed everything!

I enjoyed the pork bahn mi wrap, but to be honest I would have preferred the same ingredients in a traditional crispy French bread better than the wrap. Fast friendly service.

I used to love coming here, and felt like I was getting my money's worth. Now when I go in, not only am I paying more, but I'm also getting less. This is not a company I want to support anymore, which is a shame because I really loved their food in the past. Zao shifted from a quality food and customer driven restaurant to a high overhead greedy restaurant. For example, I was at this location today and the worker who made my bowl, scraped contents from my bowl back into the serving dish. Even though I was paying extra for that part of the meal. They also decided to serve a tiny portion of chicken, and left ONE piece in the serving spoon. It's not that I needed the piece of chicken, but the principle still stands. Zao used to be my favorite quick eats type restaurant, so it hurts to see it
