Zach's Cabin

My experience at Zack's Cabin was nothing short of phenomenal—5 stars all the way! The adventure begins before you even reach the restaurant—you have to ride in a sled pulled behind a large snow cat to get up to the top of the mountain where Zack's Cabin is perched. It’s an exhilarating journey that adds a thrilling twist to the evening, making it feel like a true alpine escape. Once we arrived, the ambiance set the tone for an unforgettable night. The menu was a delightful adventure, and we indulged in some truly standout dishes: the pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth perfection, the beets were bursting with earthy flavor, the elk was a tender and unique treat, and the short rib was rich, succulent, and cooked to absolute perfection. Such a fun experience all the way around. Having to take the Snow cat from the bottom of the hill to the restaurant is for itself. The restaurant is set up like a nice cabin and very cozy. They have a small menu, but it is diverse. The food was fresh and tasting.Service was attentive and friendly. If you go in peak winter, it definitely feels very Christmas like.

I'll start by saying I did not eat here. Didn't even know what kind of place it was but had been skiing past it all week. On the last day of my ski trip I was having issues with my boot making my foot go numb so I limped it down the cat walk as I'd done before and stopped for a few min to re adjust my boot and catch my breath. I was just sitting on the step out front til I could feel my foot again and had a nice gal come out and tell me it was a special club and I had to leave. She was very polite about it so I cannot complain about that. I said no problem, gimme 5 min and I'd be gone. An odd and interesting interaction. But hey. Any port in a storm right? lol. I wonder if I was more injured if I would still have gotten shooed away or what ski patrol would say about that.

The service throughout this whole experience is wonderful. Our waiter Aquib was top notch — we made a new friend. He went above and beyond to make our experience in Beaver Creek amazing, even after he was off the clock. Zach’s Cabin is always such a special experience.

Chef was cute, would DEFINITELY eat here again 😉
