Zachry's Riverhouse (No Reservations)

During a mini getaway to Jekyll island we decided to try ZR’s based on other reviews and the riverfront location. A little hard to find but well worth it!! Special thanks to Mindy our waitstaff. Nice slice of coastal GA. Good food and service. Shrimp salad salad (30 year recipe) was tender, fresh, just enough mayonnaise to bind it. Oysters and shrimp combo was equally good. Everyone was friendly and wonderful.

Zachry’s Riverhouse has been a favorite from the first time I found it. It has become one of the reasons I return to Jekyll Island! Anchored by a friendly staff that makes you feel like you’re a welcome friend and outstanding food its a must visit!! The fresh shrimp, seafood and handmade chicken tenders are a must try! Make sure you try the hot butter sauce on those shrimp… I put it on everything!!! Grab an ice cold beer, some shrimp and enjoy a great view.

My family’s take out was AMAZING. The grilled shrimp yumm and the crab cakes mouth watering, not to mention the French fries, my kids loved the chicken definitely 10/10 we will be back

Lunch here was ah-mazing! Our server was so attentive and kind. I ordered a mahi sandwich extra blackened with fries and it was HANDS DOWN the best food we’ve had in 5 days between St Simon and Jekyll. I don’t normally find fries to be “good” but these- I couldn’t stop eating! Delicious! Both kids loved their burgers and the key lime pie is homemade and so good. The photo is of our second piece, but we forgot both times to take a picture when it was first brought out.

Stopped here for lunch while visiting the island. We both had grilled Mahi sandwiches, which were good, but a bit plain. We split the key lime pie which was delicious! Nice atmosphere on the back deck. Reasonable prices!Excellent service from Courtney! Best thing was that we could bring our dogs! Thank you!
