Came here Saturday for lunch. Not many people. The inside is cozy with decent amount of seating and the center is the U shaped dining. Three sauces: Taiwanese sacha, ponzu and sesame. They also gave green onions, garlic, radish. I went with the Yuzu special meal. Came with gyoza, rice, vermicelli, veggies and meat. Good portion, but I thought it was tad pricy, $38. I think $32 would be more fair. Had two chice for meat I went with wagyu. Could be more fatty. This was a bit too lean and when cooking it, the meat gets hard. Other than that the mild spicy pork bone broth soul was good and overall I liked the food. Special dessert for Valentine's Day. I got macarons. Found parking in other plaza, but in this plaza there was still some parking.
I don’t know what is up today, it’s like my third or fourth time back in this place. First, talking about the food, the menu changed, so many of the “preieum” menu stuff were upgraded to “reserve” menu which make you pay like 20 bucks more. The takoyaki was still frozen inside, some of the grill food were burned, the seafood tastes kind of weird, the meat was ok. As for the service, there were 2 people serving us, one younger guy and an older guy. The older guy lead us to our seats, the younger guy ask what we want to eat. We said we want the premium menu, there was no water, no sauce, not even a bowl was brought to us. And they didn’t treat everyone the same because the group in front of us was well served and as for the group that came after us. They didn’t give us the paper to check to
The food quality—specifically the vegetables and meat—was excellent. There was a good selection of sauces, and the broth was well-seasoned. However, my girlfriend and I had to deal with constant fruit flies; there were at least five or six hovering around our food the entire time. We weren't the only ones affected, either; I noticed children at other tables swatting them away as well. The service was also hit-or-miss. While one of the servers was very attentive and answered all of our questions, another waiter was preoccupied with his laptop, forcing me to ask a server from a different section for help. We both chose the "premium" option at $48 per person, bringing our total to $105. For that price, I think you’d find a much better experience in K-town. We likely won't be returning.
We had an amazing first visit to Yuzu! Our waitress, Adrienne, was fantastic. She walked us through the menu, recommended the perfect broths and meats, and even explained each condiment and sauce so we could get the full experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The “Dinner for Two” was more than enough for the three of us to share. We came in on a Friday at 11:20 AM, and the service was excellent, attentive, friendly, and never rushed. Overall, delicious food, generous portions, and outstanding service. We’ll definitely be back! Update (11/16): Loved it so much after our first visit that I brought friends this time. We came around 3:30 PM and were seated about 30 minutes later. It may have been a staffing issue, but the service definitely felt less attentive
It felt like I was on a prank show where the servers are purposely trying to make me angry for the cameras or something. Random things on our order form were just ignored. Things we verbally ordered were ignored. Servers disappearing for long periods in the kitchen. The table next to us sat and waited and when the guy came out and asked them 'Would you like another round of meat' they angrily responded that they were still waiting on their first. I would absolutely love to watch someone have this restaurant experience on TV. I would laugh and laugh at the patrons sitting there waiting while the staff laughed in the kitchen while watching the monitors. Paying $40 a pop for the experience is definitely not worth it.
