Yuubi Sushi

Overall, 4/5 stars. The fish was fresh, the menu was abundant, and we definitely found a few favorites. The garlic albacore hand roll was my personal favorite, but you can't go wrong with the otoro or waygu. In my opinion, if you're going to "sear" a fish, charcoal beats propane 9 times out of 10. You certainly get an overpowering propane taste with the seared items. I found the price to be 20-30% higher than other top end sushi places in the area, but the service was on point. Small place with only 7-8 tables for 4 or less parties inside. Atmosphere could use some feng-shui to make the price more justified. Overall good experience.

The best sushi in Portland metro area! I feel like the price is totally justified. They've recently changed something with their rice and it falls apart a little bit. The fish quality is top tier and they're so good at pairing flavors together. They have also implemented ordering through your phone which makes things a lot easier. Also tried the chicken karaage and it was a huge portion for only $8.

If i could give them more stars i would. This is undoubtedly the best sushi and nigiri i have ever eaten anywhere in my life, including places in Tokyo. We came for my 30th birthday and were completely blown away by the quality and taste of the food, as well as the excellent and friendly service of the staff. We ate incredible food and had an excellent time. Honestly the best birthday dinner i’ve ever had. 100 out of 5 stars.

Uni is very sweet, all the fish is fresh. It’s a bit pricy, in average 15$ for each nigiri. They designed the nigiri with layers of fish / uni / roes and rich flavors. For a walk-in I had to wait for 40 mins though to get bar seats, recommend reservations in advance.

You can definitely dine here between $50-100 per person here but the fish is so fresh and high quality we wanted to treat ourselves to uni two different ways abd ikura as well. We did salmon sashimi, sashimi platter, shrimp tempura, Romeo and Juliette roll, ebi/scallop/uni, as well as single serve spoons of ikura and uni/real crab. The food was fantastic. The service is excellent/friendly and very attentive. It is a charming small location so I would recommend making reservations. It was busy on a week day! I will definitely be back here again.
