Food was alright. Nothing to dream about. The yams was the best thing I've tasted from their menu. Cabbage was mushy. Greens wasn't that great. Wingettes fried tiloo hard, they are already tiny. Wouldn't last in Texas.. I might go back. Pictures are deceiving..

Read another review that said "don't be afraid," so we went in. This is an event center / club most of the time but when they don't have events, their kitchen is open. Most of the business is takeout but we were on the road so ate at a table. The food took a little while because the chicken is made to order. It was really good food at very good prices (4 full meals @ $50). Awesome: fried chicken, wings, mac and cheese, green beans, yams, fries. Good: corn. Yes, don't be afraid to go in - unusual dining but worth it. We would stop again!!

Don't be scared. Yes, the YumYum shop is hidden in the back of a club. During the day, when the club is closed, the shop serves up A+ country cooking, with plenty of space for seating at the club tables. The staff are all super friendly, and explain the menu and options for anyone who may be visiting for the first time, like we were. I had the ribs, with collards and cabbage. My wife got the fried pork chops, with Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes with gravy. The ribs were very good. The sauce was a little sweet for my personal preference, but otherwise they were great. The collards were good, the cabbage was AMAZING. My wife really enjoyed her pork chops. Be aware that this is not fast food, so you may have to wait a few minutes for your plates, but it's worth it. :)

Loved it..Really nice, very clean, great atmosphere service was great also. I will definitely visit again on my next trip to Tarboro NC.

Let me tell y'all...if you haven't made a trip out to Tru Vegas in Princeville to try out this delicious comfort/soul food you are TRUELY missing out!! Not only is the food 100% homemade with love and care, it's made to order, served fresh and hot and VERY reasonably priced!! Everything I've eaten from this restaurant is delicious 😋 but their signature dish "BOWGHETTI" .... SHEW....that is something extra special!! Do yourself a favor and take a trip across the bridge and grab yourself a plate of yummy-ness!! ♥️ they have a full menu available there as well as on their Facebook page!! Check them out!
