Yu Zhou Cafe

After enjoying the LuminoCity light display, the children spotted a Chinese restaurant across the street, so we went in. From the customers and the menu, I could tell it was an authentic Chinese restaurant. My children and I all agreed that the crispy beef was the best dish. The 夫妻肺片Sichuan spicy beef and tripe dish was a little bland; I think the meat slices were cut too large, which prevented the flavors from fully penetrating. If I go back to that area again, I’d like to try some of their other dishes.

I really love the Spicy Conch here it’s the freshest conch I’ve had anywhere in Maryland. The restaurant also feels much cleaner and more well-kept than before. I’ve been coming here a lot lately and often bring my family with me.

Delicious tasting food, family sized, and quiet setting. The servers were attentive and nice. The owners take good care of their business. Really enjoyed our dinner. Thank you.

I ordered the Walnut Shrimp and was really disappointed because the dish was completely misleading. Walnut shrimp is supposed to be creamy, but this had no sauce at all — it looked more like General Tso’s shrimp with walnuts tossed in. Whatever this dish is, it’s not bad in taste, but it’s definitely not the standard Walnut Shrimp. I just wish the restaurant would make it as described or rename it so customers know what they’re actually getting. Very disappointed and confused by this order.

Came here for lunch and ordered five dishes. I was very impressed with how quickly everything came out—within just five minutes! The two fish dishes arrived with small broilers underneath, which kept them nice and hot. While the fish wasn’t as flavorful as I’ve had at other restaurants, the garlic eggplant dish was absolutely delicious. Definitely a hidden gem—the restaurant wasn’t very crowded, but it deserves more attention.
