Your Alpaca Cottage

What a lovely, exquisite, and comfortable experience! The cottage was perfect, and thoughtfully stocked with every amenity you can think of, and then some. It truly feels like the city is nowhere nearby, yet there are plenty of restaurants and shopping within just a few miles. The garden is just beautiful! Lush and green, with blooming flowers and gorgeous trees. Marykay was a fantastic host. She communicated well and remained available for any questions or needs, but also gave us all the privacy we needed. This is definitely a gleaming hidden gem, and I can't wait to return. The alpacas were a delight. We really enjoyed feeding them and observing their distinctive personalities. They were all very sweet and gentle. We have stayed at Your Alpaca Cottage 3 times now & love it so much, we will be returning in the fall. the cottage is warm & inviting, a perfect spot to decompress. the farm is a beautiful labor of love & the alpacas are simply delightful. Mary Kay is an amazing hostess & Your Alpaca Cottage is a treasured gift we are lucky to share.

My boyfriend and I came here to have a relaxing weekend away from the city and it was a wonderful experience. The cottage itself was very clean and cozy. Mary Kay provided everything you could possibly need for the weekend (linens, toiletries, coffee, snacks, extra blankets, board games, etc). Not only was the cottage enjoyable, the alpaca experience was so much fun. We had a great time listening to Mary Kay passionately talk about the alpacas and the chickens and feeding the animals. Overall, I highly recommend going to the Decatur Alpaca Cottage. The cottage was perfect and Mary Kay was a great host.

This little piece of paradise was one of the best staycation experiences I've ever had! The cottage itself was just a little jewel with all the adorable alpaca decorating touches, and the overall luxury of being in such a well appointed space. Marykay goes all out with comfy bedding, fluffy towels, all the treats she supplies (so thoughtful and just extra special all around). Although the cottage itself is so cozy and relaxing, I was so delighted to meet the adorable Alpacas, each with their own personality and so fun to watch - to be greeted by the chickens and to stroll the gardens. There are so many comfy places to sit and just enjoy her gardens and the calm beauty of being out in nature (unbelievable that such a tranquil place exists so close to the city). What an amazing venue!!! The cottage is super cute and very comfortable. The gardens are exquisite. The outdoor areas are so enjoyable, year round. The animals are cute (and not once, ever did I get a whiff of "animal" smell. The Decatur Alpaca Cottage knows how to do it right!!! This place is a real gem!!!!
