Yoder's Restaurant & Buffet

This is a wonderful buffet in New Holland, Pennsylvania. While it is smaller than Shady Maple and only a few miles away, it is still a very popular location and frequent by locals and vacationers alike. My family visited their buffet on a Friday evening. In addition to a full salad bar, along with ham, baked fish, pot roast, and baked and broasted chicken every day. Every evening they have nightly specials. Friday night was all you can eat prime rib, baked salmon, and multiple seafood items. The salad bar was excellent, the roasted chicken was perfect, and the prime rib was cut to order. Austin, the hot bar chef expertly cut me a piece to order, at well over an inch and a quarter thick! It was fabulous done at medium rare and equally delicious. You also have the ability to order o

Not sure what happened but this place used to be so much better. The servers are nice and attentive which is why I gave an extra star, but the food has become awful - It looks so unappetizing to the point I didn't even touch a lot of it. Most of it wasn't even warm and tasted so bland. I'm leaving this review in hopes they get better.

We’ve now been twice- The first time- great! We live about an hour away and weren’t expecting to stop here … we didn’t even know about it. It was a Friday around 12-1pm. Service was great. Waitress was very nice. Food was memorable in a good way. It was pretty busy, but that didn’t change anything since everything is basically self serve. Onto the second time, today- we went around 3pm on a Wednesday. It was my husband’s birthday and he asked to come here (bonus that his meal was free for his bday!). While his meal was free, the whole experience was thrown off. Yes, we came at an odd time- 3pm on a weekday, but there was only one other table of two in there with us. No grill going (prior there were fresh burgers, pierogi, corn cakes, etc), the food you could tell had been sitting for som

I was really looking forward to this place, especially since the Airbnb host recommended it to me the first night visiting PA. I deducted the first star since the food selection is limited, especially for people with dietary restrictions. I really did not get to do the buffet since I have a shellfish, seafood, pork, dairy allergy. I deducted the second star since I ordered the sirloin steak meal expecting to receive a steak. I was thrown off to receive a hamburger instead; when I asked the waitress, I was informed that this restaurant does not serve steak. The third star was deducted since the waffle my grandma got was mushy and soggy. Otherwise, the staff was a helpful and polite bunch of people. Yoders is a MUST stop every time I visit home about 40 miles away. I love the ambiance and the great variety of dishes and desserts! The staff is simply wonderful an so is the staff in the store. On my last visit I casually mentioned they needed to get some XL shirts for a particular style. When I came back a few months later they had listened and I bought two! When I eat at Yoders I feel like I’m wrapped in a warm blanket. All my worries melt away from the moment I enter until I have to reenter the world.
