A wonderful stay... albeit only for 1 night. The place is cozy, immaculate and it was perfect for a short stay. Thomas and James were most accommodating, preparing me a breakfast grab bag when I had to leave super early. The Cherub room was quiet, private, and comfortable. I turned off the heat - even on a 6 degree evening - and was comfortable. Highly recommend and I hope to have the chance to visit again and spend a little more time. You won't go wrong staying at the Country Hearth!

An amazingly relaxing and comfortable stay over Valentine's weekend. James and Thomas have thought of everything....Delicious homemade vegetarian breakfasts and afternoon cookies, coffee, tea and cold beverages available 24/7, thoughtfully decorated rooms, a large assortment of books and board games, shared fridge/freezer, and more. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable, with a jacuzzi bath and fireplace. The house and its history are remarkable, and this is the perfect location to stay while you enjoy the Lancaster scenery and all that it has to offer. We will return!

My wife and I had an amazing time; we happened to be the only guests in the inn on that particular weekend, so we had it all to ourselves! James and Thomas provided incredible and personalized service. They were so enjoyable to talk to, and they paid attention to every small detail that made our stay more comfortable. We loved our stay and will be returning as often as we can!

We just had a wonderful 2-night stay here! From the moment James opened the door, we felt right at home. This is only our 2nd time at a bed and breakfast and we are already planning to return this summer. The rooms are warm and inviting and the food is out of this world. I have a food allergy and their accommodation for it went above and beyond! James and Thomas know what they are doing!
