Yamato Sushi & Steak House

Husband had the shrimp and chicken hibachi. It was very good. The sauce was a great compliment and didn't overpower the flavors of the chicken or shrimp. He was given fried rice which he doesn't care for and not given the option of white rice. I didn't care for the rice either and I usually order it. I had the shrimp tempora bento box. It was ok but wouldn't order again. All the items were heavily fried and greasy. The calamari was way over cooked and greasy as well as the dumplings. BUT, the sushi was outstanding. Would highly recommend and definitely order again. This was our first visit and will try again but definitely stick to sushi and see if the rest live up to the one I ordered.

I recently moved to Athens and have been looking for a good sushi spot and this place did not disappoint!! I ate the Ichiban Roll and it was amazing!! I will definitely be back!

We brought an entire archery team without warning staff. They were professional, organized, and had everyone eating quickly. The food quality is great and the service was even better. Thank you!

Never received order refund from a month ago. We called and they lady said she would cancel the order so that it would be refunded to my card. The payment went through, but there is nothing showing it was ever refunded back to my card. Updated Review: I called and spoke with a very nice lady over the phone & she was able to help get me my money back. I will double check my account on Monday and Tuesday to make sure the refund goes through (:

We’ve been coming here for a few years now and everything is always amazing. The staff couldn’t be nicer and the food couldn’t be better. I have truly never had a bad experience at the Athens location.
