Crazy wait time. Average wait time is 1.5 hours for each order. Poor order management. Most of the time the stove is empty with little skewers being cooked. Didn’t they know there’s a lead time and there are only a few options on the menu. They do your orders literally one by one. If there is such an unreasonable wait they should warn the customers before they place the order. Tips are almost mandatory while they don’t have legit dining tables around. Food is ok but definitely not worth it.

Food: 5/5 Got the chicken gizzard, chicken heart, chicken wings, shiitake mushroom, hamachi collar skewers. So so good! Apart from the onigiri that was cold on the outside and too salty pork inside, everything else in the photo is superb! Amazing seasoning, the best yakitori my SO and I had in the Bay Area! This is a hidden gem that newly opened :) Service: 5/5 fast in receiving the order and friendly Ambiance: small and cozy. As it’s newly opened they are still working on renovations to make it even more Japanese style cozy! Comfy seats.

This is marked as closed, which presumably refers to the brick and mortar. However, they still are running popups at breweries, and everything we ordered was fantastic. The flavors, texture, everything. Absolutely perfect – we had recently been to Japan, and the quality was very similar. Would strongly recommend!

The food is served in random order. After pointed out I am in front of the one that she was going give the food to, still gave the food the customer after me. And then did it second time after I pointed out again. Just sorry but not gonna go fix the mistake at once.

So yummy. Popped up next to the natural wine bar here and the aroma of the charcoal called to me from blocks away. Friendly, fast, and super delicious.
