Yakitori Kona

We had an amazing time! Cozy chill vibes with phenomenal food!!! Stopped by for a few bites to kick off our evening. Had the steak Yakitori. Salmon and yellowtail hand rolls, and two rolls (Kona and Salmon and Eel). Everything was top tier, fresh, flavorful, and the layers of flavor just worked! We also had two drinks but I forgot the names! Solid spot. Def give them a visit! Nick will take care of ya!

Unagi is the best out of all the options. portions are small and it’s a bit expensive. I think everything was okay over all. Personally, I would prefer Shoya, Wagaya or Nagomiya for more authentic and cheaper yakitori and drinks. Curry had everything random in it from all the left overs of the day, which is what they typically do at other places. It was still a bit surprising to have a savory curry and it have tuna in it. Aesthetics were okay and i like that they open late but the kitchen closes as 10:30 pm. Steakdon and Unagidon were the best but just not substantially.

An exceptional dining experience from start to finish. James and Sebastian embody what true hospitality feels like—warm, attentive, and deeply personal. Their energy and expertise create an atmosphere that’s both relaxed and refined. The cocktails were exquisite—the All the Feels and Fig Old Fashioned were balanced to perfection, with layered flavors and beautiful presentation. The food was phenomenal: shishito peppers with the right touch of char, delicate gyozas, tender chicken and zucchini skewers, a vibrant spicy tuna roll, and a show-stopping lobster sushi roll that tied it all together. Every plate, every pour, and every interaction carried intention. Yakitori Kona is one of those rare spots where craft and comfort meet effortlessly—a true gem worth revisiting often.

The cocktails are very impressive. James and Sebastian know their craft well. We also got the veggie roll. I would recommend adding a spicy mayo to it if you’re not vegan.

Came in for a quick drink and dinner after a night in the city. Great service, the bartender was amazing and food came out quickly. The spicy tuna roll was amazing, will definitely be back and order again. The yakitori platter was also great and had a nice variety of foods. 10/10 will return when back in the city.
