Woodside Rainbow Bakery

Great coffee for less that $2. Great food for less than $3. This is where to workers EAT and Caffeinate! All these cutesy coffee shops are too expensive, even the bodegas are beyond reasonable in prices. Amazing flavors of buns and baked goods- coconut cranberry is my favorite, very unique and perfectly tastey. And the savory scallion and pork rolls are a great quick meal for less than $3. The coffee was fresh and fabulous. Nothing fancy but got me through my workday without a problem.

I live in the neighborhood, and I usually come here to gran coffee, baked foods and even regular cakes, but this time I ordered a custom cake, and it came out really cute! The design looked just like I asked for, except the color was a little different, however, the cake still looked beautiful, everything was perfect. It also tasted yummy - fresh, soft, and not too sweet. The staff who helped me while ordering was very nice and helpful as well. The price was affordable. Thank you for making this lovely cake and making my moment more special. Will order again custom cakes in future.

CASH ONLY. The floor of this place was quite crusty regardless what time I came in the morning. They do leave the vermicelli noodle dishes on the counter ( room temperature)..so I wouldn't get those. There is small area to eat in (fits 5 people uncomfortablely). Confirming that these folks here aren't friendly and will nickle and dime you. the dimsum is ok, better than frozen but way worst than all restaurants. Drinks are ok. Nothing to rave. They barely understand English so don't try to customize your drink, they literally just say : size? sugar? cream? ( don't come here to say light ice or extra hot or less sweet or ask about milk alternatives). Also there literally is a nice coffee shop just down the block.

We were visiting Long Beach, New York, from Florida and stumbled into this place after taking the bus from LaGuardia to Woodside. We were looking for a bite to take for the train ride to Long Beach. My wife got the carrot cake, and I had a custard button. Both were excellent and very reasonably priced. We will stop by on each and every one of our trips.

CASH ONLY business. I am about as big as the next New Yorker on good customer service. But when Rainbow Bakery clearly AND I mean clearly sustains on local clientele, and it is run by Chinese aunties and grandmas who won't read a single Google review in their lifetimes, then the one-star reviews on customer service become futile. I have picky Asian parents who believe that a cake should NOT be sweet. Go figure. I get cakes for them from Rainbow Bakery for EVERY occasion (Mother's Day, Father's Day, Birthday) and have gotten great feedback. That's my two cents.
