Woods Family Diner

We had been driving all day when I saw a huge sign for a Mexican restaurant. I pulled into the parking lot for Wood's Family Diner by mistake and we decided to go there. We like old fashioned diners, drive-ins and dives. It was the best thing that could have happened to us. They served me the best chili I've had in forever. I could barely fit the double cheeseburger in my mouth. It was hand formed with fresh, not frozen patties. The ladies were friendly and on point with the service. Wood's Family Diner is going to be our regular stop on this route that we travel now and then.

Wonderful little restaurant in Etowah. Warmly welcomed into this cozy country friendly feeling restaurant. Very surprised about the value. Delicious, great friendly service with smile. Attention to details by asking about my preferences. A very family friendly place to dine. I can highly recommend Woods Family Diner.

Small, friendly diner. Great food! Great customer service! Everything was perfectly seasoned, fresh and tasty! I got the western quesadilla and my husband got the Philly.

Home cooking at its best. Quaint dinner with daily specials and yummy base me u options. Got the western quasadilla and smoked meatloaf special and both were very good. The meatload came with a big portion, great flavor, and a nice variety of sides (you get 2 with the special). Did the mashed potatoes and fried squash. Squash was a little bland, but well cooked. Potatoes were fresh and flavorful. Easy location on main drag, friendly staff, and well worth the stop.

Ordered sandwiches and the daily special, country fried stake. The cafe was out of most sides so we ordered potato salad with the country fried stake. It looked like grocery store bought and tasted worse. The sandwiches were okay. We ordered a milkshake, and overheard the counter staff say they were out of chocolate ice cream as they were making it. What arrived was a very thin shake were they may have used chocolate milk to flavor the vanilla. The country fried stake was very dry and tough. Prices are good, but only order simple things and soft drinks. Staff is friendly.
