Winnaway Bed and Breakfast

We had a “to the moon” experience with this amazing B & B. Nestled in the beautiful piney woods of east Texas. Beautiful home, many amenities including an amazing pool, and the most gracious hosts! The commercial fully equipped large kitchen, multiple dining areas, and a great room that was wonderful! Our family of 40 had enough room to spread out and enjoy our time together!! Priceless jewel in the woods!

David and Susie are some of the best people I've ever met. Their hospitality and genuine care for their guests can be seen from the way they greet you at the door to the way they stock extra needs in your room. It was definitely a wonderful weekend away from the hustle and bustle of life where I was able to unplug and relax. I definitely will be returning and soon!

I stayed with the Winns and found them to be warm and friendly folks, really enjoyed their company and their home. It’s situated in the country and is peaceful and quiet. The room was just wonderful in every way and the bed was super comfortable. The breakfast prepared the following morning was delicious and reminiscent of those sort of meals you had as a kid growing up spending the weekend at your relatives’ home. Susie and David made my first visit to Texas a memorable experience and I will definitely be back in the future! The Winnaway will be the place I stay and I heartily recommend anyone traveling to the area looking for a great place to stay to book at the Winnaway. You won’t be sorry!

My husband and I own a B&B and enjoy staying at them when we travel. My family lives in Woodville but we were wanting a little r and r to ourselves. We booked at Winnaway on a very short notice but David and Susie were happy to accommodate! The hospitality and atmosphere was incredible. Very much like "going home". The food was delicious. The room was very nice and clean and bed extremely comfortable! It was a treat for someone else to do the cooking and Ms Susie did a fabulous job! We will be back!!

My boyfriend and I visited with the Winns this past weekend and we had an awesome time! We stayed in the Master Suite and loved that there is a private hot tub outdoors right off of the bedroom. After hiking all day at the Big Thicket, we needed to relax sore muscles! Susie was kind enough to set out wine glasses, a bottle opener, and even offered to chill the bottle we had brought! It was incredibly romantic to enjoy the hot tub with wine and the clear skies meant we could see every star imaginable. Breakfast was excellent, with eggs cooked to order, and every condiment you could ask for. We will definitely be back if we are in the area again.
