Winkler’s Stockyards Restaurant

Didn't realize this quaint little restaurant existed in Richmond ! The owner , her daughter's and family were extremely kind ! Everything was homemade , had the lasagna , that was really good ! I wasn't a huge fan of the corn and green beans . Will definitely be back to try other options . The owner stated , certain dishes on different days , and also has a grill for cheeseburger and turkey melts .

Good food, friendly service, fair prices and amazing atmosphere. So why the low rating? It's 2025 and Winkler's Stockyards Restaurant is using all disposable plastic tableware, and styrofoam dishes and take out containers. This place is currently an environmental nightmare. At a minimum, please switch to paper and biodegradable products. But if the owner truly cared about making their business more sustainable, they'd install a dishwasher and buy some proper reusable ceramic plates and real silverware. Please stop being so lazy. You have a wonderful little restaurant that is loved by locals, don't cheapen it by continuing to throw away massive amounts of plastic and styrofoam every day!! Went to Winkler’s with high expectations. Left a little disappointed. The service was a little slow though it wasn’t busy. My breakfast was just so so. Not bad, but bland. The eggs were greasy, the bacon fatty and toast was well, toast. Nothing hearty, just small slice white bread. Utensils were plastic and no tobacco sauce. Coffee was okay, but they only provided powdered creamer. I’m glad I visited and will give them another try, but my first visit for breakfast was nothing to write home about. It was clean and inviting when we went so they deserve another visit to see if the day we went was unique or how they normally function everyday.

This is a small county place directly across the street from the Richmond Stockyard!! You can hear the cows bawling!!! The place is warn, but the food was delicious!! I had soup beans, corn bread,and a slice of onion !! Sooo good !! The girls working were all so very nice and attentive. I'm not in this area often, but I will return.

Server was sweet, quick. She's very good at what she does. I know it's an old place. It needs to be cleaned! Food very good
