Customer Reviews
We were there on a Saturday prior to attending the Polar Express. Our party was eight (5 adults and 3 kids). The place was packed with many customers clearly planning a trip to the Polar Express. We were told it would be a 45 minute wait. It was only 15 minutes. Our waitress was great. She was prompt, helpful, cheerful and friendly. Our food was delicious and hot, although the chili was so spicy, I couldn't eat it.
Here’s a polished version of your Google review: I always have a great experience at Winking Lizard Tavern. The food is consistently perfect, and the bartenders are good, sometimes absolutely excellent, especially depending on the crowd size. If you can, grab an open spot at the bar for the best experience. The only downside is that the parking lot isn’t quite big enough when it’s busy, but that just shows how popular it is. Overall, it’s a very well-run business, and I’ll definitely keep coming back.
Not much to write home about. Food was ok, service was ok, atmosphere ok. Waitress was ok. Caesar Salad was the highlight of the meal 😩 The Nashville Wings didn’t taste like any Nashville I’ve had, they were cooked decent. Burger, no flavor or sauce, made good use of the BBQ on the table, which was ok. The attempt here is elevated bar food but falls short.
The menu offers a wide variety of options, and everything we tried was impressive. The wings were exceptional, especially with the honey mustard hot sauce, and the special black forest ham sandwich on a pretzel bun was simply delicious.
We went for a late lunch on a Saturday around 3 pm. The beer menu is very vast and the prices are very reasonable. I got a draft of IPA from Columbus Brewing Co. for $6. I ordered a Thai Peanut Chicken Sandwich from the Menu Specials for $12. My friend ordered a half of Loaded Lizard Nachos with chicken for $9.50. Both menu items were big portions and priced outstanding. All of the food was delicious.
