Winegar's Coffee & Creamery (University & Alder)

This is our summer (and spring and autumn and, yes, winter...) go-to spot for the kids. Get a good walk/bike to the ice cream shop and have a nice treat, savory or sweet, sip a coffee or a soda with boba and then go back home. We use the punch cards, rewards points and love the seasonal flavors, drinks and treats. I'll even go there to unwind when I don't have the kid circus in tow. Locally owned with history in the county. Remember to tip your servers 😉

I stopped at Winegar's with my family on our way home and was thoroughly impressed. The house-made ice cream was excellent and the prices were low, but their service was the best part. I would absolutely stop here again if I were in the area. There was a very large selection of interesting flavors, and they were happy to let us sample a bunch of them. The samples were big and they also provided recommendations for good flavor combinations. In the end, I got the Ultimate Scoop, which lived up to its name! It was an enormous, four-flavor monster (Kori's Coffee, Jacob Caramel Brownie, Kookie Kayla, and Garydough). In the name of research, I even topped it off with one of their house-made waffle cones. This place was recommended by a friend and definitely did not disappoint. The young girl was so helpful and kind. We definitely stocked up! But we will be back!

FANTASTIC! We love finding local ice cream shops while in a small town and this by far is one of the best we’ve had! Espresso milkshake was delicious! We also had the peanut butter cup, banana and cotton candy all were great!

Our first time going, and we’ll be back for sure any time our travels take us through Ellensburg. Lots of really original flavors and combos on the menu, good prices, and choices for everyone in the family. We got a huckleberry shake, a cup of mint chocolate chip ice cream, an Italian soda, and the Dusty Road sundae (pictured here).
