Willoughby's Down Home Restaurant

We were sadly disappointed today. We saw the FB pictures posted for this restaurant, plus the buzz around town, and thought we would give this restaurant a try. I ordered the meatloaf meal with 2 sides. I lost my appetite when I found a strand of the cooks hair baked inside my square of meatloaf. I then picked at the mashed potatoes with white gravy, which was tasty, and decided to bring my side salad home. We also ordered ribs with 2 sides, soup beans and sauerkraut with hotdogs. Sadly, the sauerkraut with hotdogs was the highlight. Meal came with 2 small ribs, tender, fatty, not very tasty; and the soup beans was a small bowl of SOUP with 10 beans at the bottom. This building has been many things over the years. This place has home cooked country food, small buffet. The food is good nothing flashy. They also have homemade pies. The sweet tea is great.

I had the bacon cheeseburger and fries and split the fried oreos dessert with the person I was with. The meal was very good and fresh. All food was served hot and server was very attentive. It did get quite loud inside the restaurant at one point however it is a small space so that's to be expected. Will definitely be back!

Can’t get enough of this restaurant. The food, atmosphere, and service is incredible. This is a Family-owned restaurant with a family vibe. I feel like a guest every time I step in the door. Everything I have tried on the menu is fantastic and it’s underpriced for the quality! Occasionally they host Karaoke, very enjoyable.

Every time I've eaten lunch here I leave with a smile on my face and loosen my belt. Lunch specials are good home cooked meals. The ladies treat you like family and push that pie on you. Find it and stop and eat.
