Whitey's Ice Cream

This Whitey is literally the best location and it’s even better because they have a drive-through. The people working the counter are running their tails off trying to make sure that everyone is taken care of even on a night like tonight when it is cold and like 20° out, they still had a super long drive-through line and people waiting inside. The Customer Service is unmatched and honestly when we visit it feels like you are first priority and top priority there. We ended up getting the strawberry malt and it is a huge win in our books, especially with the malt flavor and the huge strawberries inside. We were visiting home and whenever we do, we always go to Whiteys as there’s never better ice cream than this. It truly is the best in the Midwest.

The vibe was not very welcoming when we first walked in. No one greeted us. I asked for a butterscotch milkshake and just got a regular vanilla milkshake. My niece was waiting to order and everyone acted like they didn’t want to take her order. My niece ordered a cookies and cream waffle bowl and got moose track instead. Overall disgusting energy. I traveled all the way from Georgia and got an horrible experience. Smh

Whitey's ice cream is a Quad City's tradition. I am so lucky to be raised with Whitey's. Whenever someone is new in town or visiting Whitey's is one of the places we bring them. My personal favorite is their Oreo malt. I also love their chocolate peanut butter Reval ice cream. They have tons of ice cream flavors that you can turn into a shake or malt. They also have seasonal flavors. They also offer chippers. It's two chocolate chip cookies with ice cream in the middle. They also sell their ice cream by the half gallon at the store and local grocery stores. I live in Chicago now so whenever I come back home this is always a treat.

Paid $30 to get my house hold icecream through the drivethru. Got home to find they messed up 2 of the icecreams and then would not answer the phone. I left a vm. They called back 2 hrs later like it was no big deal saying to just bring back the wrong orders and they would replace them. I told them I was unable to just drive down there and they said that's fine but they would need the messed up orders back and they would remake them.... I told them my kids obviously ate what they could of the icecream and the rest was tossed. They said oh with our policy you have to bring it back and then we would remake it. They have 0 credibility, 0 care, she was rude on the phone. It was a simple fix. Take my name and have a manger call, Issue a partial refund, or write my name down for our next order t

Have enough people not ranted and raved about this place. I'm already dreaming about the next time I have their banana graham ice cream. Top tier stuff, can't imagine why you would go anywhere else for ice cream if you live anywhere near the quad cities. I'm thankful I'm 2 hours away, otherwise I'd find myself here way too often.
