Whitebox Crispy Chicken

Highly recommend this locally owned business. We had the boneless chicken strips with okra and mashed potatoes with gravy. Chicken breading was light, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. Sides did not disappoint - we will be back for sure to try the fish or something from the grill. Great little local place.

I have heard about the White Box Chicken and thought I give it a try. I am glad I did. First, I was greeted as soon as I came in, the service was very polite and I felt welcomed. Second, the tenders were very moist and not dried out like others. The fried okra had the correct seasoning. Third, as I was leaving, the owner appreciated that I had come and to come back soon, which I will. Please keep up the great job.

Best chicken and best prices in Bastrop. We got gizzards and tenders it was amazing. Highly recommend everything especially the ranch dressing. The owner is such a sweet soul.

My 1st visit here. I really appreciate that it's a locally owned independent dining option. The restaurant was very clean and the aroma coming from the kitchen immediately triggered my appetite. I ordered the 8 piece and opted for Dark. The food arrived freshly out of the frier crispy and juicy. I paired the chicken with their mashed potatoes with gravy and added an order of okra to round out the meal. The mashed potatoes were very smooth and creamy and the okra was also crispy and seasoned perfectly. I almost ruined my experience by leaving without all of my order, but the staff chased me to the parking lot and even though I had already driven away offered to deliver my forgotten items to me. That is customer service above and beyond anything I have ever experienced. You won't find that
