My dad and my boyfriend’s dad really wanted us to try White River Fish Market while we were in Tulsa. My dad remembered it being delicious the last time he was in Tulsa, and he was relieved to know it was still there after all those years. I knew I would enjoy it, but my boyfriend was a little skeptical. He has a huge shellfish allergy, and was doubtful he would be able to eat anything, but was wanting me to try it with his dad regardless. To our surprise, my boyfriend could and did safely eat here! He had to stay restricted to the grilled/broiled menu, but it was delicious regardless. I ordered the fried Whole Flounder with fries and fried okra. My boyfriend got the Orange Tough with corn and fried okra. His dad got the jumbo shrimp with okra and green beans. While my boyfriend was excite
What a nice place to have a meal it reminds us of home in Australia with our Fish n chip shops. Good size meal portions good price. Lovely weight staff. Great fresh fish and a lot to choose from and sides. The desserts are good to we had the cherry & strawberry cheescake. Great atmosphere very busy but quick service.
I can see what people like this place. You get a lot for what you pay. I ordered the Broiled Canadian Walleye. I wasn’t a fan of it as it was dry. I think maybe it was frozen and the dried out, maybe? Texture was wrong. The shrimp cocktail was good. I’d probably get this next time. It felt fresh, moist and plump. The onion rings batter was hard as rock. Didn’t like it. Coleslaw was good. Almost as good as KFC. I’d come again but would get a different main.
Great selection. However, everything fried , tastes the exact same. Used to be much better! I’ve tried it 3 times in the last year, and I think this was my last. Just a greasy fish stand now. Great fish market though, so there’s food you can buy an take home and cook in fresh oil or cook to your liking. Try the fresh fish, but don’t eat here unless you want to spend 30 - 40 bucks per person, for greasy fried fish.
Took my friend here for a birthday meal. We ordered the Tilapia broiled combo platter and a pound of broiled scallops. We loved the meal and will definitely be back
