White House Inn Genoa

I stayed 3 nights in the Cottage this past week. I wish I could give them more than five stars. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating to me. I feel like they went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. I was needing to find a place in Carson Valley, as I was traveling alone from out of state for a business trip, that was safe, clean, and bonus points for great view. When I arrived, I was delighted to see how charming the grounds were. Then when I entered my cottage it was clean, they turned the AC on for me, and there were muffins and orange juice in the fridge. The shower was amazing too! Which was nice to use after a long day working outside. The staff was great at checking in to see if I needed anything but also was respectful of my space. My partner and I recently spent a charming night in the Cottage House of the White House Inn and we were very sad to leave. We had come from Vegas to visit the Genoa Bar and Saloon, the oldest drinking parlor in Nevada, as part of a five-day road trip. This was quite possibly our favorite stop along the way. Because of our short stay, we did not get an opportunity to meet the hosts, but communication was great and they still made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable and feel at home (like orange juice and muffins!). We went into Gardnerville for dinner at J.T. Basque Restaurant and had the most amazing meal. We returned to spend our evening drinking at the bar and had a wonderful rest before heading out on our next adventure (Lake Tahoe!). Genoa is an absolutely beautiful tow

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary. We stayed in the king suite. The whole property is very charming, clean, warm and cozy. Lacey had muffins and orange juice in the fridge when we arrived. Lacey is also great to make sure to communicate everything to you to ensure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. Overall, we had a great time and plan to be regular visitors 🙂

We stayed here the night before our wedding to be close to the venue and it was a great place, I'm so glad we did! We also had our friends stay and we booked the Cottage and Carriage House and they were adorable. Lacey is such a great hostess, super nice, attentive, friendly and communicative. We will definitely be staying here again in the future and would highly recommend.

We stayed in the cottage last night for our anniversary and it was AMAZING. So comfortable, loved the gas stove. The shower was beautiful. Right next to the pink house, horses in the backyard. Absolutely phenomenal. We will be booking another stay closer to Christmas !
