Can’t call this a hidden gem, since the parking lot is always full. In fact, the only thing to challenge you is to find a parking spot. Once you are inside, there are no challenges or disappointments. Be prepared to focus on the food rather than the atmosphere, although the place is warm and welcoming with a variety of seating options. The cheeseburger is mouth watering and - at least for me - more than meets the test of requiring extra napkins. Everything is fresh. Especially enjoyed the variety of doneness on the fries which were so good! Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Treat yourself today!

Nice little hole in the wall serving up some good, authentic bbq. I was disappointed that they had sold out of ribs and chicken but the pulled pork was good. And the portion-size is very generous. Fast, friendly service. You can also walk up and order.

Excellent tangy BBQ paired with good ol southern hospitality. This was my first visit and I can only speak of the BBQ'd pulled pork but I will be back to peruse the remainder of the menu. They had what appeared to be home made sweets such as brownies by the counter. So do yourself a favor and walk in, grab you a chair, and don't be a stranger.

Okay where do I begin... If memory serves me correctly this place has been owned by the same family since 1940. Walking into this establishment was nostalgic, like I was in an old school diner which was a nice feeling. The lady that took my order was extremely nice, she even gave me two hush puppies for free. I ordered shrimp and fries and tenders and fries for my son. Almost everything is fresh not frozen. They have huge containers of freshly cut potatoes soaking in water and the fried options are not pre battered. The taste of the food was lacking... lacked flavor and lacked the right seasoning therefore for me this place was a dud. If you desire food that is seasoned good and taste good do not go here. If you are good with food that lacks seasoning and flavor this is the place for you.

Stopped here on 9/20/25. The food was delicious and the service was great. Homemade French fries and onion rings were excellent. if you're from the city and are uppity, and the type of person that would leave a bad review because the table is tacky or a chair wobbles, keep on driving (although they do have a 100 on their health score). For me and my family, I can't wait to come back.
