Whistle Stop Inn

What a fabulous experience! We stayed in the Viking Car and as soon as we opened the door, we were in awe. The entire train car was uniquely decorated, beautiful and romantic. Having our own spa tub and sauna were over the top for accommodations. Jann's breakfasts were absolutely delicious and having us wanting for me. Plus, she was very warm and welcoming and wanted to make sure that we had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed the trains going by. It made us feel like we were on a train trip. We highly recommend this wonderful get away!

As a fellow bed and breakfast owner, I can’t help but admire what you’ve created at Whistle Stop. The unique blend of historic railroad cars and a beautifully restored 1903 home sets the scene for a truly memorable stay. And that breakfast? Exceptional. What a fun and cozy escape!

My husband & I usually drop our bags & check out the area, especially if we have never stayed before. This time, we didn't. I packed food & we just stayed put! We are not train enthusiasts but we had so much fun. We took a walk & just relaxed. Yes, you can hear the trains but it isn't bad. Breakfast in the morning is absolutely amazing! Thank you Whistle Stop! It is exactly what we needed!

Beautifully restored train cars that were full of decor and history from the era. Warm and inviting. Delicious breakfast delivered right to your train car. I'll be coming back! Highly recommend!

What a beautiful experience! We stayed in the Viking Car, which exceeded our expectations. You can see and feel the heart and soul put into this bed and breakfast. From the soft music playing to welcome you in, to the small vase of fresh flowers sent with your delicious, hot breakfast, Jann and her crew don't miss an opportunity to make you feel special. We went troll hunting in the Detroit Lakes area, which is another wonderful experience.
